I recently reviewed William Strunk jr., and E. B. White’s ‘little’ book (95 pages) titled: Elements of Style, and penned words of its effect on me:

All my ailments here laid bare
my prose exposed
nought to spare
trimmed tight in friendly flow
my thoughts to pace
style pruned free
from custody
to happy place

The advice, direction and freedom that this book has given my writing compels me to recommend to everyone involved in any form of writing to get a copy. At a cost of $1.70 on amazon.com plus shipping, it will hardly break your bank, but it will change your ‘writing’ life. I ask myself: where was this little book when I needed it? But now that I have it may it never be far from my hand.
